Cohiba
Cohiba is a Cuban house renowned among premium tobacco connoisseurs, produced by Habanos S.A. Its cigars rely on carefully selected leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region and a third fermentation unique to the brand. Its principal lines are the Línea Clásica, the Línea 1492, the Behike and the Cohiba Maduro 5.
Geschichte
Founded in Cuba in 1966, the Cohiba brand was first reserved for the personal use of high-ranking government officials and served as a diplomatic gift. It was not until 1982 that Cohiba Habanos began to be marketed internationally, establishing its reputation as a symbol of luxury, quality and tradition.
Over the following decades, the house consolidated its prestige through its craftsmanship and the consistency of its vitolas. Today Cohiba remains one of the most respected references of the Cuban manufacture, with the Behike regarded by many as its crown jewel.
