Macanudo

Geschichte
The Macanudo brand was launched in 1968, when the General Cigar Company decided to introduce a new line of premium cigars. Although the name already existed as a vitola of the Cuban brand Punch, it was under the guidance of Cuban master blender Ramón Cifuentes, with roots at Partagás, that Macanudo found its own identity. Production was initially based in Jamaica before moving to the Dominican Republic in 2000, where it continues today. The house has since broadened its range, from the Macanudo Café to the Inspirado Red, which marks the brand's fiftieth anniversary.
