Alcazar
Alcazar is a Nicaraguan cigar brand made by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. It offers handmade cigars conceived for regular smoking, with a numbered range from No. 1 to No. 5 and a dark Maduro style wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf.
History
The brand was created in 1898 as a tribute to an award-winning racehorse named Alcazar, and the name clung to these cigars from the start. The Great Depression struck hard and the brand vanished for several years. It returned thanks to J.C. Newman, who acquired the rights and restored it to the market with a clear aim: cigars that are pleasant to smoke, worth buying again, and free of fuss.
