Asylum
The Asylum brand, from Nicaragua and Honduras and produced by Asylum Cigars, stands out for bold cigars with imposing ring gauges. Its main lines, Asylum 13, Insidious and Schizo, appeal to seasoned smokers as well as newer aficionados.
History
The brand was launched in 2012 by Christian Eiroa, already known for Camacho, and Tom Lazuka, two partners determined not to play it safe. Their project rests on massive ring gauges, assertive profiles and a clearly asserted personality. Their most emblematic line, the Asylum 13, extends to gauges of 60, 70 and even 80. The Ogre variant, with a barber pole wrapper in green Candela and Maduro, illustrates this wish to stand apart. The Insidious line, with a sweetened tip and a Connecticut wrapper, offers a more approachable experience.
