Byron is a premium cigar house from Costa Rica, produced by Tabacos de Costa Rica within the Selected Tobacco universe. Its signature rests on long-aged tobaccos, with the Byron 1850 line as flagship, offering woody, cocoa-laced and gently spiced profiles. The Atabey line shares the same philosophy of patience and refinement.

History

The brand takes its name from the British poet Lord Byron. It is closely tied to Nelson Alfonso, designer of the Cohiba Behike in Cuba, who chose to bring the same pursuit of perfection to non-Cuban cigars. Many Byron cigars are made in Costa Rica from carefully selected tobacco aged for several years. Ageing takes place in Spanish cedar rooms, using techniques inspired by traditional methods and precise control of humidity and temperature. This approach places time and craftsmanship at the heart of the creation.
