Dissident
Dissident is a cigar house founded in the United States by Michael and Nicole Zoch, with its cigars produced in Nicaragua by Fábrica Oveja Negra. The brand stands apart through a rebellious identity drawn from music and underground culture. Its lines, including Soapbox, Bloc, Molotov and Rave, offer full-bodied, aromatic blends in toro, robusto and box-pressed formats.
History
The Dissident brand was created in 2013 in the United States by Michael and Nicole Zoch. After several years of near-total dormancy, it returned to the market in 2022 with new blends, now produced in Nicaragua. This comeback revived smokers' interest in a house with a relaxed, rebellious attitude.
Dissident cigars combine Nicaraguan, Mexican and Ecuadorian tobaccos and deliver roasted, peppery, cocoa and dark wood flavours. Their bands and names evoke punk groups and underground festivals rather than the aristocratic tradition of the cigar.
