JFR is a Nicaraguan brand belonging to AGANORSA Leaf, the company led by Eduardo Fernández. The house first targeted specialist cigar shops, offering cigars made from AGANORSA-grown tobacco. Its style is built on oversized formats, notably the JFR Lunatic family, whose vitolas push ring gauges to extraordinary dimensions.
History
The house's story is rooted in the premium tobacco culture of Nicaragua, in Estelí and Jalapa, which AGANORSA Leaf began cultivating in the late 1990s under Eduardo Fernández. JFR was conceived as a brand for specialist cigar shops, aiming to offer Nicaraguan cigars without pushing prices out of reach. The classic JFR Corojo remains one of its cornerstone lines. The decisive turn came with the JFR Lunatic family, which made oversized vitolas the defining identity of the house, culminating in the colossal 10 x 100 format.
