Montecristo
Montecristo is a Cuban brand made by Habanos S.A. and renowned among aficionados for its robust, distinctive cigars. Its range spans classic vitolas such as the No. 4 and the pyramid-shaped No. 2, the smoother Open series, and the Joyitas and Media Corona.
History
Montecristo was born in Cuba in 1935, thanks to Alonso Menéndez, a man who knew how to craft great cigars as well as how to sell them. Its name is taken from Alexandre Dumas' novel The Count of Monte Cristo, giving the brand a sense of adventure and mystery from the start. Over the decades the house has kept its essence while adding a modern touch. Its cigars are still made with tobacco from Vuelta Abajo, Cuba's finest tobacco-growing region.
