Bandolero
Bandolero is a premium handmade cigar brand produced in Costa Rica, a country rarely associated with the segment, which dominated by Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Honduras. Part of the Selected Tobacco project founded by Nelson Alfonso, the house favours an artisanal approach, a focused portfolio and carefully refined presentation.
Historia
The house belongs to the Selected Tobacco project launched by Nelson Alfonso, known for his design work in the Cuban cigar industry. The founding idea was to revive traditional methods and apply an artisanal approach to every cigar. Each piece undergoes an extended ageing phase, including additional fermentation and resting under controlled conditions, and is presented in an individual tube.
The range is organised into the C, T and A series, offered in formats such as the robusto and the toro. Bandolero does not release dozens of new cigars each year: its catalogue remains deliberately focused, serving a clear identity and a carefully managed project.
