Don Smith is a Dominican cigar brand, produced in the Dominican Republic from carefully selected tobaccos. Discreet beside the larger names of the sector, the house offers balanced and approachable cigars, the Series Dee Churchill in the classic Churchill vitola being its best-known line.
Historia
The story of the Don Smith house remains little documented, as the brand has released very little information about its founders. What is known is that its blends are produced in the Dominican Republic, with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and Dominican, Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobaccos, depending on the line and production batch.
The name of the Series Dee line reflects a distinctive approach: according to several distributors, it combines "Don", a traditional term in the world of the cigar, with "Smith", one of the most common surnames in the English-speaking world.
