Ilegal
Ilegal is a Nicaraguan cigar brand made in Estelí by La Corona Cigars S.A. and born within La Familia Robaina. It offers three lines – Habano, Connecticut and San Andrés – sharing the same three vitolas, from Robusto to Gordo.
Historia
The Ilegal Tabaco brand was born within La Familia Robaina Cigars, formerly White Hat Cigars, and made its debut in 2019 at the IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. The project was led by Spence Drake, together with the La Familia Robaina team and Hirochi Robaina, a descendant of one of the best-known families in Cuban tobacco. Each version had its own creative team: Adrian Acosta for the Ecuador Habano wrapper, Spence Drake and Omar González for the Connecticut, and Esteban Disla, co-founder of Nica Sueño, for the Mexican San Andrés wrapper.
The slogan "It's so good, it should be Ilegal" emerged during the development of the cigars. The cigars rest for more than six months before reaching the market.
