Cabañas
Cabañas is a historic Cuban cigar brand founded in Havana in the nineteenth century and attached to the La Corona manufacture. Recognised within the Habanos universe, it offers classic formats such as the Belvederes and Coronas, marked by woody and earthy notes.
Geschichte
The brand was created in Havana during the nineteenth century by Francisco Cabañas, a Spanish businessman who quickly earned recognition for premium cigars made from high-quality Cuban tobacco. For many years Cabañas competed directly with legendary names such as Partagás and H. Upmann. The British market was especially attached to it, English smokers seeking out its cigars for their balanced and refined profile. Churchill is reported to have smoked them at certain moments, an episode that still feeds the brand's legend. Absent from the international market for a long period, Cabañas has become a cult cigar among collectors and knowledgeable aficionados.
