Don Tomás
Don Tomás is a Honduran cigar brand made in Honduras by General Cigar, part of the Scandinavian Tobacco Group. The house favours familiar formats and handmade cigars, with lines such as Clásico, Brazil, Nicaragua and Buena Fé.
Geschichte
The brand emerged in Honduras during the 1970s, making it one of the established names among Honduran cigars. It passed through UST before coming under General Cigar Company, and later joined the Scandinavian Tobacco Group portfolio. In 2005, General Cigar revamped the label and launched Don Tomás Clásico, a straightforward cigar at an accessible price. The Clásico Presidente ranked No. 22 in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of 2006, with 90 points. Handmade production remains rooted in Danlí, one of the country's major tobacco centres.
