FQ
FQ is a Nicaraguan cigar house made by NACSA and founded in 2013. Its name honours the Cuban Fernández and Quiroga families. Its compact range, produced in limited quantities, favours balance and complexity, with the Phenom No. 1, Phenom No. 3 and Proper lines.
Geschichte
The house was officially founded in 2013 by Matt Hunt, who learned the craft alongside John Oliva after gaining hands-on experience in tobacco cultivation and cigar making. The name FQ pays tribute to two Cuban families long associated with tobacco and rum. Production has deliberately remained limited, making several cigars sought-after finds among aficionados. Several releases have earned excellent ratings in specialist publications.
