Hermanos de Armas
Hermanos de Armas, also known as HDA Cigars, is an American house founded by two military veterans, one from the Air Force and one from the Army. Its premium boutique cigars come in several lines featuring Ecuadorian wrappers over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.
Geschichte
The founders, Andray F. McCuien, a U.S. Army veteran, and Zack Van Ginkel, a U.S. Air Force veteran, originally planned to open a cigar lounge. The pandemic upended that plan and pushed them into the premium tobacco business. The name, meaning "brothers in arms", pays tribute to their military service. The house first produced its cigars at Fábrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. In 2026, production of its core lines moved to Rojas Cigars, while the original blends were kept.
