Hernandez & Ruiz is a Panamanian cigar house that works with deliberate discretion, away from the usual spotlight. Made using traditional methods, its cigars are entirely crafted from Panamanian tobacco, with a broad range of vitolas, from the Short Corona to the Belicoso, including the Toro.
Geschichte
The house's story is rooted in Panama's tobacco tradition, which goes back to the 19th century. It draws on the cigar-making expertise handed down through generations of the Hernández and Ruiz families, whose names now carry the brand. In its early years, production was focused mainly on the Panamanian market, before becoming almost entirely oriented toward export. The Toro, measuring 152 mm with a 50 ring gauge, stood out in 2017 when CigarsLover named it the best cigar in the Rest of the World category.
