Hoyo de Monterrey
Hoyo de Monterrey is a Cuban house, one of the oldest and most prestigious names in Havana cigars, made by Habanos S.A. Rooted in the fertile Vuelta Abajo region, it offers smooth, aromatic cigars with a mild to medium body, prized by aficionados who favour delicate flavour. Its portfolio includes the Epicure No. 2, the Double Corona and the Le Hoyo de San Juan.
Geschichte
Founded in 1865, the Hoyo de Monterrey brand established itself from the outset as one of the references of Cuban cigars. Based in the Vuelta Abajo region, the cradle of the island's finest tobacco, it built its reputation on the consistency of its blends and the smoothness of its smoke.
Over the decades, the house developed a portfolio of emblematic vitolas, from the Epicure No. 2 robusto to the large Double Corona, whose complex aromatic profile and long, silky finish remain a benchmark. The range was further enriched by the Le Hoyo de San Juan, a more modern and fuller-bodied take on the classic blend.
