Illusione
Illusione is a Nicaraguan cigar brand created in the United States by Dion Giolito, owner of the Fumare shop in Reno, Nevada. A recognized boutique house, it stands out for its enigmatic names and vitolas, including Original Documents, Epernay, Fume d'Amour, Ultra and Garagiste, the latter echoing a cigar lineage prized by aficionados.
Geschichte
Dion Giolito began developing cigars for his Fumare shop before commercially launching Illusione in 2006. His aim was to recreate the profile of Nicaraguan cigars from before the Sandinista Revolution. The project started with Nicaraguan tobaccos and very small production runs. Over the years, the brand moved from an almost secret name among Reno enthusiasts to one of the most recognizable boutique names in the industry. Many cigars are now made in Nicaragua using Aganorsa tobacco, while some lines have also been produced in Honduras.
