José Domínguez
The José Domínguez brand comes from the Dominican Republic and carries the name of its maker, José Domínguez, a figure long respected within the tobacco industry before he put his own name on his cigars. It is built mainly around the Natural and Maduro lines, offered in several vitolas such as Gordito, Grande and Belicoso.
Geschichte
The Domínguez family has been connected to the Dominican tobacco trade for generations. Before putting his own name on a cigar, José Domínguez first worked as a veterinarian and managed the family's pig farming operation, before dedicating himself fully to tobacco. He later became the man behind Victor Sinclair, then manufactured both his own brands and projects for third parties.
When he decided to launch the Jose Dominguez Cigars line bearing his own name, production was initially limited. This step marked Domínguez's move from being known mostly to industry professionals to a visible presence among aficionados.
