La Jugada
La Jugada is a premium cigar brand from Nicaragua, created by MoyaRuiz Cigars, the company founded by Danny Moya and Nelson Ruiz. Produced in Estelí at the La Zona factory, its cigars offer Maduro, Habano and Connecticut lines with bold flavour profiles.
Geschichte
The brand debuted in 2013 with La Jugada Prieto, a line of Nicaraguan cigars whose dark San Andrés Maduro wrapper gives it its name. The name La Jugada, meaning "The Move", honours its founders' passion for dominoes and poker. The range then expanded with La Jugada Habano, featuring an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a double binder whose composition remains a closely guarded secret.
The family grew with La Jugada Claro, wrapped in Ecuadorian Connecticut, and then La Jugada Nunchuck, a 2014 limited edition made of two cigars joined at the heads.
