Liga Privada
Liga Privada is a Nicaraguan cigar brand produced by Drew Estate, part of the Swisher group. Its main lines, the No. 9, the T52 and the Único series, combine bold blends with iconic vitolas that appeal to aficionados.
Geschichte
The brand traces back to Drew Estate founders Jonathan Drew and Marvin Samel, who created a private blend for their own enjoyment. The name means "private blend" in Spanish. After testing hundreds of combinations, they settled on the Liga Privada No. 9, blending tobaccos from seven farms under a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper fermented for over eighteen months.
Demand grew so strongly that the house opened its creation to the world. The line expanded with the T52, featuring a Habano wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley and stalk-cut for a richer profile, followed by the Único series of unique vitolas and limited editions. Only four pairs of rollers at the Drew Estate factory are certified to make them.
