Geschichte
The brand's roots reach back to a time before the Second World War. Its name is most closely tied to the population of San Luis, a district within the famous tobacco-growing area of Vuelta Abajo in Pinar del Río province. A further theory links it to Thornton Wilder's novel “The Bridge of Saint Luis Rey”, yet the geographical origin remains the most plausible. Over the decades the house has built its identity around robust, characterful cigars, while developing regional editions that showcase leaves from Vuelta Abajo.
