Umnum
Umnum is a cigar brand from Spain, belonging to the Gesinta International Tobacco Company, an independent cigar importer. It is known for its two main lines, Nicaragua and Honduras, whose aromatic profiles range from sweet and woody to medium and full strength.
Geschichte
The Gesinta International Tobacco Company, behind the Umnum brand, was founded in 1997 by Ramón Zapata, a veteran of the tobacco world. Zapata had previously been a key figure in brands such as Tabacalera Zapata, Kuuts and Miro. Gesinta became the largest independent cigar importer in Spain and brought Umnum cigars to success across Europe. The brand draws its inspiration from the indigenous cultures of Central America, where tobacco was seen as a bridge between the gods and humans, a symbolism reflected in the bands bearing the image of the Sukia spirit.
