Archetype is a cigar brand created within Ventura Cigar Company, a U.S.-based company founded by Marcel Knobel and his family. Each cigar in the house embodies an idea, a symbol and a distinct way of understanding the cigar, with carefully built blends and steady construction. The lines The Initiation, Crux and Strange Passage stand as its reference points.
History
Archetype emerged when Ventura Cigar Company, known for clear concepts and solid blends, chose to go further by creating a brand built on universal archetypes, the patterns that recur across cultures and eras. Rather than relying on regions or numbers, each cigar revolves around a concept. The cigars are produced in the Dominican Republic, in experienced factories, using tobaccos from Nicaragua, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic itself, allowing each vitola to develop its own personality while keeping a coherent identity across the range.
