Balmoral
Balmoral is a cigar house with Dutch roots, now produced in the Dominican Republic by Royal Agio Cigars (STG), one of Europe's major tobacco companies. It offers well-balanced cigars with a distinct character and an approachable profile, with its key lines being the Anejo XO, the Serie Signaturas and the Dominican Selection.
History
The Balmoral brand was founded in 1895 in the Netherlands by Carl Cuypers, with the aim of producing quality cigars able to compete in Europe's most demanding markets. Over the years it became part of Royal Agio Cigars, which allowed it to grow and modernise while keeping an artisanal focus. Throughout the twentieth century the house established itself through the consistency and balance of its cigars. Its decisive evolution came when it strongly embraced tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, seeking more complex profiles without sacrificing accessibility.
