Casa Magna is a Nicaraguan cigar house from the Quesada family, whose factory works exclusively with Nicaraguan tobacco. Its cigars are usually full-bodied, dressed in a maduro wrapper and presented in elegantly finished lacquered boxes.
History
The Quesada family, originally from Spain, settled in Cuba in the 1880s before the Cuban revolution forced them into exile in the Dominican Republic, where they devoted several decades to the tobacco trade. It was one of their grandsons, Manuel Quesada, who founded a small cigar factory in 1974. During the 1970s, Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plasencia created the Casa Magna brand to replace Joya de Nicaragua.
