Cibao
Cibao is a Dominican cigar house produced by Tabacalera Palma and led by José « Jochy » Blanco, a highly respected figure in the cigar world. It pays tribute to the Cibao Valley, the Dominican Republic's most important tobacco-growing region. Its classic line, wrapped in Connecticut leaf, offers vitolas such as the Robusto, Toro, Churchill and Torpedo.
History
The Cibao brand dates back to the mid-1980s, although it has gone through several stages and relaunches over the years. Its philosophy has remained constant: to offer a cigar made from tobacco grown in the Cibao Valley itself, whose mineral-rich soils have built the region's international reputation. Every cigar is handmade at the Tabacalera Palma factory, which has decades of experience producing premium cigars.
A significant part of the filler and binder tobacco used in Cibao cigars comes from farms owned by the Blanco family, creating a direct link between the house and its land of origin.
