Epic
Epic is a Dominican cigar house founded by Dean Parsons, a former Canadian police officer turned tobacco enthusiast. It crafts premium cigars from Dominican and other world-origin tobaccos, hand-rolled by torcedores with decades of experience.
History
Dean Parsons discovered the world of tobacco in 2005, while living and working in real estate in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Over several years and numerous trips to the Dominican Republic, he decided to enter the premium cigar market. Before this change of direction, he had spent over ten years in the police force, notably as a weapons instructor and within the SWAT team. To deepen his expertise, he collaborated for more than a decade with master blender Rolando Antonio Villamil, refining his understanding of tobacco growing, aging, fermentation and blending. Epic Cigars was founded in 2010.
