The Perdomo house is a Nicaraguan brand produced by Tabacalera Perdomo S.A., founded by a family of Cuban origin. Based in Estelí, it is known for premium cigars whose wrappers are aged in bourbon barrels, and for a fully vertically integrated production, from the seed to the box.

History

The house's story begins with Silvio Perdomo, a Cuban who worked in renowned factories such as H. Upmann and Partagás during the 1930s. The Cuban Revolution sent him to prison for more than a decade; released in 1974, he emigrated to the United States. His son Nick Perdomo Jr. founded Nick's Cigar Co. in 1992 from the garage of his Miami home. In 1997, production moved to Estelí, Nicaragua, where a 8,800-square-meter factory nicknamed "El Monstruo" was built.
