Sarzedas
Sarzedas is a Nicaraguan cigar brand produced in Estelí at J.C. Newman's PENSA factory. A historic name revived in the modern era, it focuses on a classic range of four vitolas: Corona, Robusto, Toro and Churchill, wrapped in an Ecuadorian Shade wrapper.
History
The Sarzedas name is documented from 1900, when J.C. Newman was already making cigars under it, long marketed as “The Aromatic Cigar.” After a long absence, the brand was relaunched in 2025, 125 years after its first releases, with production in Nicaragua. The revival was led by Drew Newman, the fourth generation of the family, while the blend is credited to Rich Dolak, the company's VP of Operations. To evoke this return, the house drew on authentic vintage boxes, newspaper advertisements and ashtrays.
