Somm
Somm is a premium cigar brand from Honduras, created by professional sommelier Vlada Stojanov, who applies wine concepts such as tobacco origin, leaf aging and house style to cigars. Its collections take their names from the terminology of great wine regions, with the Premier Cru Petra series as its best-known line.
History
The brand was launched by Vlada Stojanov, a professional sommelier and cigar enthusiast who set out to apply to tobacco the principles he practised with wine. Its cigars are produced in Honduras at Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A., the factory that also makes other well-known premium cigars, although many blends use exclusively selected Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Premier Cru Petra series, a collection of limited editions, is named after the founder's daughter. Each release experiments with the position of the same leaves within the blend, and the house often hides small details within its bands to distinguish one release from another.
