Apostate is a Dominican cigar house made by Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic. Founded by two entrepreneurs from Utah, it produces handmade cigars whose names carry historical, religious and cultural references, including The Feathered Serpent, which features a candela wrapper.
Historia
The house was founded in 2020 by Brandon Oveson and Kendrick Woolstenhulme, two founders from Utah who chose to bring their personal story into the world of the cigar. The name Apostate evokes breaking away from established paths and charting your own direction, a philosophy running through every cigar. From the outset the brand has told different stories through its creations, many of its names linked to the Mormon background of its founders.
