Cuaba
Cuaba is a Cuban house within the Habanos S.A. portfolio, devoted to double-tapered figurado formats. Its cigars are entirely hand-rolled and distinguished by shapes that narrow, widen and curve rather than following straight cylinders. Its main lines include Divinos, Exclusivos, Distinguidos and the renowned Salomón.
Historia
The brand was officially born in Cuba in 1996 within the Habanos portfolio, with the aim of reviving the classic double-tapered figurado formats. Its name derives from the "cuaba", a highly flammable shrub the Taíno people used to light tobacco during their ceremonies. From its earliest days, the house asserted itself through deep respect for artisanal tradition. The first Cuaba cigars were not pressed in moulds, so each piece differed slightly; today collectors prize these early examples as precious witnesses to the history of Habanos.
