Kafie 1901
Kafie 1901 is a cigar brand founded in the United States by Dr. Gaby Kafie, whose family has roots in Honduras. Its lines include Maduro, San Andres and Serie L Natural cigars, Connecticut and Sumatra models, and the Stiltsville range.
Historia
Before devoting himself to cigars, Dr. Gaby Kafie practised medicine. At 42, he left that career to turn his passion for tobacco into a brand, created in the United States in 2013. The name "1901" recalls the year his ancestors established their family roots in Honduras. The first cigars were made in Honduras at Tabacalera Puros Aliados, before he opened his own factory in Danlí. Since late 2021, production of the premium cigars has taken place at La Aurora in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where Kafie works with the team at this historic factory.
