La Galana
La Galana is a cigar house founded in Cologne, Germany, by Annette Meisl, with proudly Cuban roots. Its best-known lines are La Galana Clásica and La Galana Salón, and most of its cigars are produced in Honduras by experienced rollers.
Historia
Annette Meisl founded La Galana in Cologne in 2009, after a journey to Cuba sparked her fascination with tobacco and the craft of cigar rolling. She learned the art from Cuban master roller Silvia Hernández before developing her own blends. The house also counts among its patrons the musician Rey Creagh, a member of the legendary Vieja Trova Santiaguera.
Today, most La Galana cigars are produced at a partner factory in Honduras, where experienced rollers work with Honduran tobaccos. A smaller number are still handcrafted at the boutique workshop in Cologne, which also hosts tobacco and rum seminars and cigar-rolling demonstrations.
