History
In 2012, Jeff Borysiewicz, founder of Corona Cigar Company, set out to revive a tradition that had disappeared in 1977: growing premium long-filler tobacco on Florida soil. The farm is established in Clermont, Florida, where Corojo '99 tobacco grows from Cuban-seed genetics. Once harvested, the leaves are shipped to Estelí, Nicaragua, where Drew Estate ferments them and crafts them into cigars. The brand has since become a leading force in the revival of premium tobacco in Florida.
